Editorial Policy and Story Standards
These standards explain what a Sleepy Saga page represents and how families can report a problem. They apply to the public story library and its English and Hindi pages.
What we publish
Sleepy Saga publishes original stories and child-friendly adaptations of classics, folk tales, fables, and stories inspired by Indian mythology. Adaptations are bedtime retellings, not complete translations of sacred, historical, or literary source texts.
Age and bedtime fit
Stories are assigned to ages 3–5, 5–8, or 8–11. The vocabulary, story length, intensity, and ending are considered for that age band, with the aim of giving a parent a calm story to read aloud before sleep.
Language and translations
English is the default language. A Hindi page is published only when Hindi story text exists for that book or chapter. We do not label an English-only story as bilingual, and the language switch links only to a real translated page.
Safety and sensitive material
Adaptations avoid graphic violence and frightening detail intended for older audiences. Parents should still choose the age band and story that fits their own child, culture, and family routine.
Accuracy, sources, and corrections
Familiar stories can have many versions. We identify adaptations as retellings and avoid presenting them as definitive source texts. If you spot a factual, language, attribution, or age-label issue, email support@sleepysaga.com with the page URL and the correction requested.
